Bibliographic record SVOBODOVÁ, Jaroslava. The influence of the level and type of postural load on parameters of dynamic plantography during standing and walking. Prague: Charles University, 2nd Faculty of Medicine, Department of Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine, 2018, 124 p. Supervisor Mgr. Michaela Opálková. Abstract The thesis deals with the reaction of body to postural loading during stance and walking. The theoretical part of this thesis is focused on postural control and postural reaction during stance and walking. Particular attention is paid to gait cycle, dynamic plantography and Zebris FDM-T Rehawalk system, which has been used in the practical part of this thesis. Two chapter deal with postural loading, the first is focused on symmetrical loading (e.g. backpack) and second on asymmetrical loading (laptop back - ipsilateral, contralateral and held in hand). The practical part presents the examination of 32 volunteers who were either standing or walking on a dynamic plantograph. The volunteers were exposed to either symmetrical or asymemtrical 5 or 10 kg load. Subsequently, statistical tests were used to search for any change of dynamic plantography parameters depending on the level of loading, on the type of loading and in the comparison of the situation with and without loading. The results...
Examination of gait in patients whit idiopathic scoliosis. Objectification using treadmill
Švábková, Anna ; Lepšíková, Magdaléna (advisor) ; Černý, Pavel (referee)
This master thesis concerns gait in patients with idiopathic scoliosis. Idiopathic scoliosis constitutes about 80 % of all scoliosis cases and its adolescent type is the most common form of spine deformity in the child population. The theoretical part outlines existing knowledge on this medical condition and its treatment, focusing on conservative therapy by corrective spinal orthoses. It further describes the physiological stereotype of gait and differences observed in patients with idiopathic scoliosis. It also discusses the effect exerted on bipedal locomotion by corrective spinal orthoses. The aim of the practical part is to examine whether there is a relationship between the severity of the main spinal curvature in subjects with scoliosis and the degree of asymmetry between their lower limbs for selected parameters of gait. Since this part concerns gait both without and with bracing, it can also analyse the impact of corrective spinal orthoses on the degree of the given asymmetries. The selected parameters of gait are ascertained by the method of dynamic plantography using a Zebris FDM- T System device. The research sample consists of 14 subjects (12 girls and 2 boys) between the age of 9 and 17 years with idiopathic scoliosis who receive conservative treatment including bracing. The results...
Surface electromyography leg and trunk muscle in patients with Jumper's knee
Crhonková, Radka ; Valouchová, Petra (advisor) ; Čech, Zdeněk (referee)
The goal of this thesis is summarize the current knowledge about Jumper's knee. It also includes a brief summary of the anatomy and kinesiology of the knee and then a separate chapter is devoted to the etiology, clinical picture, investigations and treatment of Jumper's knee. On these findings has been prepared and compiled research project hypotheses. This research is to determine whcther, and what affects Jumper's knee in the human musculoskeletal system. To this end, we chose a method of surface electromyography and dynamic plantography for analysis of pressure distribution and reaction forces during foot contact with the plate. Attention was focused on the comparison of side differences and timing muscle trunk and legs during dynamic activities sdccted. The results were compared with a control group that consisted of healthy individuals. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Stance and gait analysis using ZEBRIS FDM-T System in patients with scoliosis
Bulánová, Kateřina ; Lepšíková, Magdaléna (advisor) ; Opálková, Michaela (referee)
The thesis deals with the issue of walking and standing in patients with a scoliosis. The theoretical part of this thesis summarizes current knowledge of scoliosis, its classification, etiology, pathogenesis and risk factors of the curve progression. Then the most often changes of the stand and gait stereotype and their main causes are discussed. Goal of the practical part was to identify the difference between particular parameters of gait in an experimental group of patients with scoliosis and a control group of healthy individuals. The examination was performed via the dynamic plantography method using the Zebris FDM-T System. 19 probands with scoliosis aged 8 - 19 and a control group of 19 orthopedically healthy patients in a corresponding age distribution have been selected for the study. The results did not provide any statistically significant difference on a significance level p=0,05. However, there were clear differences between the groups referring to bigger asymmetries in stance and gait stereotype in the scoliosis patients group. Since even in a scientific literature there is a difference in opinion on this issue, more research might be necessary for the exact evaluation of the influence of scoliosis on the stance and gait stereotype.
